J.C. Calderón is a longstanding member of the American Institute of Architects and is the president-elect of the AIA Westchester + Hudson Valley chapter for 2021. He has served on the chapter’s board since 2018, formerly as treasurer (2020), secretary (2019), and member of the executive committee.

 

The AIA Westchester + Hudson Valley chapter works to support a vibrant community of architects and industry professionals through professional development and local initiatives, as well as community engagement. In 2018, Calderón and other board members led a Beacon-based group of high school students in an urban planning project for Main Street Beacon, which was later presented to the city’s mayor and city council via the local ACE Mentor Program.
